Alien Isolation: The making of the scariest game of the year

Added: 01.11.2014 5:11 | 5 views | 0 comments

Red Bull Writes: Real survival horror is back. Shinji Resident Evil Mikami returned with The Evil Within this month, while horror fans can look forward to Resident Evil Revelations 2 and Silent Hills in the future. But it's Alien Isolation that has kept gamers awake at night, squinting in the shadows to make sure 'it' isn't hiding in the corner of the bedroom. This is the game you need to play this Halloween.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Preview - GameRevolution

Added: 31.10.2014 23:15 | 2 views | 0 comments

GameRevolution: As a self-professed under-informed enthusiast of the Resident Evil franchise, I felt criminally unprepared for the hands-on opportunity I got with Resident Evil: Revelations 2 in a recent demo. With PlayStation 4 controller in-hand, I got to check out an early build of the game as it is currently in development with the Japanese market in the lead and a Western release following closely behind. Where the previous Revelations game landed on Nintendo 3DS, pushing an immersive experience in 3D, the game did well on console and the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 platforms take the lead with Revelations 2.

Day of the Dead: Capcom and Resident Evil 7

Added: 31.10.2014 6:11 | 4 views | 0 comments

wastelander75 writes: "As the days grow quiet and cold with the coming winter, Capcom forges ever onward to rouse the dead once again. While the developer is currently hip-deep into production of their forthcoming Resident Evil Revelations 2 title, it let slip a few tantalizing clues on what gamers may expect to experience in Resident Evil 7. After the rather lukewarm response to Resident Evil 6, Revelations 2s Producer Michiteru Okabe admitted that perhaps it was time to dial back the action, and re-embrace what made the series the phenomenal hit it used to be: that claustrophobic and tense atmosphere of survival horror."

Resident Evil Revelations 2 first look - jailhouse rules

See you, Chris - our favourite Redfield sibling is back in town.
Well, it's about damn time. Claire Redfield (FYI, the only classic Resi character not to be formally trained in combat and the only one able to carry off a bicycle shorts and pink denim gilet combo) finally returns to the forefront of the Resident Evil franchise, after making only bit-part appearances in non-canonical spin-off titles following her starring role in Resident Evil Code: Veronica. The faux pas of making googly eyes at wet blanket Steve Burnside aside, she proved a capable protagonist in both that title and her series debut in Resident Evil 2. But while Leon and big brother Chris went on to become poster children for the series, Claire undeservedly fell into obscurity.

Get To Know Resident Evil Revelations 2's Claire And Moira

Added: 20.10.2014 19:13 | 2 views | 0 comments

The Resident Evil franchise has a lot of well-known characters, many of which have remained mainstays since the original PlayStation era. Jill, Chris, and Leon have been in steady rotation for decades, successfully hanging on for the series' leap to full 3D third-person shooters. Resident Evil left behind one determined lady, Claire Redfield, until now. She finally returns to the main storyline in Revelations 2 alongside the tenacious daughter of S.T.A.R.S. team member Barry Burton - Moira. For those not entirely familiar with Revelations 2's leading women, this is a great place to start.
